Alongside an illustrated children’s book, The Misfortunes of Eugene is a pseudo-autobiography, set in the perspective of a pitiful nerd, Eugene, trying to navigate the burdensome middle-school experience. Eugene lives a life of: avoiding the wrath of notorious bullies, Sarah and Gregory...  pitying his only friend, Timothy…  hiding mommy’s love from infiltrating his minimal social life… and trying to win the heart of his dream nerd, Alice. From hidden stolen tests that appear as the lining of Gregory’s shorts, to Alice’s 1st place ribbon top, to Eugene’s anti-pantsing shorts and more, satirical storytelling seamlessly transitions into this physical body of work.
